Midterm Blog Post

Reflecting back on the time I have spent in Writing & Rhetoric 1, I have come to generally enjoy the class. Everyone is always excited to discuss the readings of the week and start the debates. However, with everyone having such big personalities the discussions can either get off topic or someone can get too involved with the subject matter. I do admire how involved everyone can be yet I believe there needs to be more organization. The papers we have written have had very thought provoking prompts which has made them easy to write to for the most part. My only suggestion for our essays is to incorporate more creative writing prompts. I feel like creative writing will give us the opportunity to really display our writing skills. In terms of workload, I believe it is fair. All the assignments are given with good amounts of time to complete them. The only assignments I don’t really understand the purpose for are these blog posts but hey, a grade is a grade. I feel like my grade in the class reflects my effort pretty well considering I have missed a couple assignments and always write my papers last minute. Usually it is really hard for me to stay focused in a classroom setting, however it is very easy to keep up and stay on top of everything going on in the class. I think Liz is an awesome professor and I think my classmates are pretty cool too. I guess Writing & Rhetoric 1 has been a pretty rad experience when I really think about it.

"It's like that woadie?!"

Percy Romeo Miller, also known as Lil’ Romeo has went from a child hip-hop icon to a now a sex god on the Internet. Or at least that’s the feeling I get from stalking his Instagram. Most of his pictures show him lounging around a pool, working out, or partying. He’s basically living the life of luxury without a care in the world and looking good while doing it. Along with those photos, he does also post pictures with his family and on his current endeavors in life. For instance, I saw that Romeo recently posted a picture promoting his new comic he is releasing; I believe it can be found on thedrem.com. He also posts pictures of himself hosting events like the music video countdown show 106&Park on BET and community based events where he does appearances/speaking for kids. I believe he keeps up a good image with this variety of photos because it shows that he can work as hard as he plays. He shows that he’s grateful through his constant community outreach programs, he shows that he’s loving through his family bonding, he shows that he’s driven through the projects he’s now working on, and this is all shown through these pictures on Instagram. I do believe he upholds a good image by posting working photos to balance out the photos of him partying, which shows he’s just a “normal” 23-year-old guy. Romeo is a good influence on culture because he showcases life of normal tendencies, he doesn’t party excessively nor does he work excessively, he’s a great middle ground. Though he may not be as famous as he was when he was nine, he’s still making money (1million for his ICDC college commercial) and still affects pop culture. Now go stalk his Instagram and look at that hot bod: @romeomiller

Assignment 1

Hey guys, it's Stram!! I'm not too familiar with writing on a blog even though I have a Tumblr, it doesn't really count. I created a Blogspot when I was fourteen but I wasn't nearly interesting enough to keep up with it. I don't really read any cool blogs, but I do like Terry Richardson's photo blog:
